Why Rag Arm?

There is a reason why there are pitch counts in Little League...

The following is an except from the 2006 Little League Baseball World Series Media Guide

Pitch Count Pilot Program Offered

During the 2006 season, Little League International conducted a Pitch Count Pilot Program that was available as an option to all of its 7,400 local programs worldwide. The program proscribed actual pitch limits on each pitcher, rather than the traditional method of limiting the number of innings. Little League is currently tabulation information from the leagues that took part in the Pilot Program, and will use those surveys to determine the feasibility of a new pitching regulation. The earliest a new regulation would be in place is for the 2007 season. Read More
